Brief
I am a professional communicator with a keen interest in current events and international news. After graduating from Appalachian State University in 2003 with a degree in electronic media, I joined the Army and served four years as a public affairs specialist. I worked as a communicator in nine countries on three continents. I also earned a master's degree in international relations from the University of Oklahoma.
Now I'm back in school, studying public relations as a Roy H. Park Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I've finished classes and I'm working on my thesis now, which is an analysis of Air Force communication during the Bent Spear incident of 2007. Soon, I plan to return to my career in public affairs.
