Brief
I am a professional communicator with a keen interest in current events and international news. After graduating from Appalachian State University in 2003 with a degree in electronic media, I joined the Army and served four years as a public affairs specialist. I worked as a communicator in nine countries on three continents. I also earned a master's degree in international relations from the University of Oklahoma.
Now, I'm finishing my thesis for a master's in journalism/public relations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I'm also working as the public outreach manager for the Blue Grass Chemical Stockpile Outreach Office. I do community relations for a project that is charged with destroying more than 500 tons of chemical weapons stored in Kentucky.
